Bill Weger Joins DB Consulting Group as Director of Marketing and Communications

Silver Spring, Maryland, March 3, 2008 – Diversified Business Consulting Group, Inc., (DB) an experienced 8(a) and HUBZone certified small business consulting firm that serves Federal and private-sector clients, has announced that Bill Weger has joined the firm as Director of Marketing and Communications.

In his role at DB, Mr. Weger will provide strategic counsel and senior support in areas such as communications planning, internal communications, marketing, publications development, graphic design, Web site content development, and media outreach. Other corporate responsibilities include supporting business development efforts and strengthening the skills and core capabilities of the DB communications team.

Mr. Weger has more than 20 years experience in marketing, public relations, and journalism. He has led strategic communications efforts across diverse fields, including housing and community development, healthcare, education, transportation, and philanthropy. He has demonstrated success in working with Federal clients and has guided more than 130 publications through the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). Mr. Weger has won more than a dozen national awards for excellence in marketing, publications development, and strategic media outreach – securing more than 160 million media impressions worldwide. He began his career as a print journalist with work for daily newspapers and Associated Press.

Throughout his career, Mr. Weger has worked on a broad spectrum of projects across a range of Federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Mr. Weger earned a Master of Arts in Public Communications at The American University in Washington, D.C. and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism (Public Relations Sequence) at the University of Maryland, College of Journalism. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the American Marketing Association.
