Materials Development and Publication Services

DB’s publications staff develops publications based on the goals and objectives of the information to be communicated. Our writers, editors and proofreaders produce technical assistance and training manuals, technical and scientific reports; printed visuals; PowerPoint presentations; conference materials, summaries and proceedings; conference attendee information, and materials in a variety of printed and electronic formats.
We assist clients with providing their information to target markets, ranging from general public outreach to materials for specific scientific or technical organizations. For example, we have developed full color and detailed protocol brochures with reference cards for NIDA‘s Clinical Trials Network.
Web-based publications are a cost-effective method of communicating information to large audience groups. DB’s IT specialists prepare documents for publication and downloading to the Internet. These materials can be hosted on DB’s site servers or prepared for uploading to a customer’s Web site. Often, publications are linked to a database of additional information. These publications can be secured for restricted access if the information is intended for a specific group and not for the general public. Currently, we are providing web-based publications, and web development and maintenance services for NASA, ED, HHS, DOJ, and HUD.
Clearinghouse Services
In order to augment our materials development and publication services, DB assists client organizations with warehousing and distributing large quantities of materials, develop and maintain an inventory database, and assume order fulfillment responsibility. We provide the facilities, appropriate staff, and systems necessary to store publications and distribution in response to public inquiries while meeting the requirements for inventory management control, security and accessibility of storage space.
Graphic Design
Graphic design has become an essential client service to support clients’ business and communication needs; DB’s graphic and media design team conceptualizes and designs materials that communicate the desired information through artwork, photographs, and specialized graphics. The material is created electronically or optically scanned from documents to produce effective promotional materials. Services range from design and production of flyers and brochures to full-color multifaceted publications. Creating innovative graphics and visual aids is a standard service that DB provides to all clients.
